Privacy Policy
Version 1 · In effect from 9 August 2026
1. Who we are
MyGari360 operates this marketplace. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it under the Kenyan Data Protection Act.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number and, for businesses, your trading name.
- Location — the county and town you select, and the map position businesses pin. If you allow it, your device’s approximate location is used to sort results by distance. You can decline and still use the platform.
- Listings and transactions — what you list, order, book or request.
- Support messages — what you send us when you contact us.
- Technical data — IP address and browser information, used for security and abuse prevention.
3. Why we use it
To operate your account, show relevant listings, connect you with providers, process orders, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and meet our legal obligations.
4. What we share
When you contact a provider or place an order, the details necessary to fulfil it are shared with that provider. A business’s public listing information is visible to everyone. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Location data
Device location is used only while you are browsing, to measure distance. It is not stored against your account. If you decline the browser prompt we use the centroid of the town you select instead.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only where we must for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, or request a copy in a portable form. Contact support@mygari360.com and we will respond within the statutory period.
8. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Access to personal data is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security token to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers.
10. Changes
Updates to this notice are published as new versions with the date they took effect.
